Continuous Assessment (CA) bundles coursework into one component. Inside it, each item has an internal weight: in this example assignments 12.5%, CAT 1 25%, CAT 2 25%, practical/clinical logbook/OSCE 37.5% — together 100% of the CA, which itself is 40% of the final score.
Configurable example (CA 40% / SE 60% with OSCE-style practicals). Weights, minimums and grade bands are institution-configurable and must be matched to each programme's authoritative regulations before official use.
Example: assignments 80, CAT 1 70, CAT 2 90, practical 65 → CA percent = (80×.125 + 70×.25 + 90×.25 + 65×.375) = 74.4% → contributes 74.4% × 40 = 29.75 of the final 100.
